I know it looks like I’m reverting to my old, lazy blogger ways. But I’m really not. Honest!

Still Alive
kimberly on Apr 16th 2008 02:32 pm
Just popping my head in to say that I’m still alive.
RL is kicking my butt lately, and I’m typing my fingers to the bone working on my story for the hot comfort anthology. That’s why I haven’t been around here very much for the past week or so.
But the story is half finished and RL looks like it’s settling down too.
So thank FSM for that!
I’ll be back on my regular blogging schedule — whatever that is — when the writing binge is over.

My New Year’s gift to you is this, a picture of the last sunset of 2007. It was taken by my husband at Mallory Pier in Key West just about a half hour ago.

Happy Holidays!
kimberly on Dec 24th 2007 08:34 am
Christmas Eve is a busy time for everyone and I am no exception. I still have a few gifts to wrap, a few calls to make and a last minute trip to the supermarket for some hors deovres to take to the Christmas Eve celebration at my mil’s house later today.
So I’ll just wish you and yours a happy and peaceful holiday season.
And whatever way you choose to celebrate, stay safe and be
joyful.

Falling in Love Makes Your Brain Grow
kimberly on Dec 18th 2007 02:20 pm
Researchers at the University of Pavia, in Italy, have found that falling in love raises levels of Nerve Growth Factor for about a year. This hormone-like
substance helps to restore the nervous system and improves memory by triggering the growth of new brain cells. It is also associated with the feeling of
being “loved-up” and contented, inducing a calming effect on the body and mind. Unfortunately, researchers found levels dropped after about a year — the
point at which feelings of romantic love fall away and reality kicks in.That’s right. Falling in love is actually good for you. Of course we romance writers knew that all along.

How Many Shopping Days Left?
kimberly on Dec 12th 2007 07:50 am
With everyone counting down to the holidays, I thought I’d share a link to one of my favorite online merchants. Whenever I visit this site looking for gifts I always find, at least one and usually more, thing that I want for myself.
