Last week I got a lovely review for Bound To Please from Elisa Rolle. I had the pleasure of meeting Elisa a couple years ago in SF and she is as lovely in person as she seems in cyberspace. Her reviews are always thoughtful and gracious and this one is no exception. She says in part,

“I like all the characters, but for sure the boys, Benny and Rain, are the best; Jason is good but he fades on the background when the boys are around, something that is strange considering he is the Dom. Benny and Rain, purple and blue hair, are like boys at play, I have always the feeling to hear someone laughing when they are in a room. Jason is not their puppeteer, he is the one who is fallen in their net; I have this image of Benny and Rain building a net with colourful rope, and Jason totally caught in the middle.

There is a lot of sex, some of it also quite extreme, but above all I have this feeling of esthetical beauty: each scene is like a carefully planned painting, with full and deep colour, it’s a very visual feeling.”

There is a very nice review posted over at Jessewave’s blog for our brand new anthology Encore! Encore! Jenre is very complimentary about all three stories and gives the antho as a whole 4.5 stars. About my story, His Leading Man, she says in part,

“One thing I particularly liked about this story is the way that David’s character is developed from the previous story. Although we get both hero’s point of view, there is just as much page time devoted to David than the flasher and more outgoing Kieran. This meant that I really felt like I got to know David, to understand his reasons for acting the way that he does and his remorse and sadness over the break-up between him and Kieran.”

The other day this site was hacked. Someone deliberately planted a virus — why do people do that anyway? — but thanks to my fabulous web mistress I’m back up and running. And just in time.

I have two books releasing this month from MLR Press. The first is an anthology called Encore! Encore! which is a sort of sequel to last year’s Bravo! Brava!

My story is called His Leading Man. It’s a follow up to David and Kieran’s first story, Woman’s Weeds and will let you see how the boys are doing.

Also appearing in the EE antho are stories from Charlie Cochrane and Jet Mykles.

The other release is my second novel, Bound To Please. It’s Benny and Jason’s story. I had a lot of fun writing this one even though the boys weren’t always totally cooperative and threw me several curves along the way including letting me know that their story is a threesome. How about that? *g*

The outside door banged open, admitting a rush of frigid air.

David and Bethany both turned to look, and David’s breath caught. Coming toward them down the center aisle was the beautiful young man from the Macy’s fragrance counter. Their gazes met and he smiled. “Am I too late?”

David opened his mouth but found he had forgotten how to form words.

“Too late for what?” Bethany stepped forward.

“To audition.” The young man glanced at Bethany then his gaze turned back toward David. He bit his lip. “Do you remember me? From Macy’s—”

David nodded and found his voice. “Of course I remember you. No, you’re not too late, but how did you know—”

“You said you were a director. And you told me the name of your theatre company. So I Googled it and,” he made a little voila gesture, “here I am.” Continue Reading »

I’m back from my New Years vaca and ready to dive back into the writing.

Key West was fabulous as always, though a bit chillier than we like. Our friends down there think when the temp dips below 65F that they’re freezing. Lol!

We came home to 29F and snow this morning. Now *that* is cold!

Wow, I have so much to do and share with you all. I’m finishing up edits on Bound To Please, so you should be seeing that story in the very near future. I also got the cover art which was done by the

incomparable Anne Cain and I’ll be sharing/showing that off any day now. Also there are edits on a new antho story called His Leading Man which is a sequel to David and Kieran’s story from the BB anthology. So lots to get to.
